The OWASP GoatDroid Project pays homage to the OWASP WebGoat Project. It is a fully functional and self-contained environment for learning more about vulnerabilities and security issues for the Android platform.
Following are the steps to install GoatDroid on Windows :-
Step 1 :- Download and Extract GoatDroid
The latest version of GoatDroid can be downloaded here. Then extract the files into a folder.
Step 2 :- Also download the SDK installer_r16-windows.exe.
Step 3 :- Installation is simple using the wizard. If it prompts then install JDK as well.
Step 4 :- Now start the SDK Manager from the Start Menu.
Step 5 :- As shown below, "Install Packages" for the particular Android version. This might take some time depending on your internet connection.
Step 6 :- Start the AVD Manager and Add a New Android Virtual Device.
Step 7 :- Select all of the defaults and click on "Create AVD".
Step 8 :- Start the AVD from Start Menu.
Step 9 :- From the Android Virtual Device Manager, select the AVD that you created and click on "Start".
